ABOUT THE MISSION:
Another of our Greatest Generation has been lost. Alva “June” Gibson answered the call to serve his country in WWII. Alva Gibson served in the Merchant Marines (USCG) seeing duty in the Atlantic, Pacific, and the Mediterranean. After his service, he found employment as a welder with Lockheed Martin in Marietta, GA., where he retired.

Special Instructions:

Stage in the far southwest corner of the church parking lot. After briefing we will establish the flag line. We will stand the flag line 11:30 am until start of service at 1 pm. We will then get lined up for the escort to Rolling Hills Cemetery. KSU scheduled for 2 pm. We will stand a graveside flag line during his committal service and as military honors are rendered.

If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
