ABOUT THE MISSION:
We have been asked to ride and stand in honor of USN, Korean War Veteran and retired WA State Senator, Albert N Bauer Jr. In June 1948 Albert joined the Navy, where he served for six years, including two tours of duty in Korea. He served first aboard the USS LSM-236, a LSM-1-class Landing Ship and then the USS Noble (APA-218), a Haskell-class attack transport. Albert was honorably discharged in June 1954 with the rate (BM1) Boatswain’s Mate First Class. In 1970 Albert was elected to the Washington State House of Representatives where he served ten years, and in 1980 he was elected to the State Senate where he served twenty years. Albert received recognition and numerous awards for his many years of teaching and public service. Please join with us as we provide a Rolling Honor Guard to his final resting place and stand in his honor at his Memorial Service with Military Honors.
