Rodney served in the U.S. Army 1968-1976. \nHe was a 13 year member of the American Legion Post #1 in Topeka\, Kansas.  In 2011 he retired from Frito Lay in Topeka\, Kansas.  Al was an over the road truck driver for Frito Lay for 34 years and had received safety awards for 1\, 2\, and 3 million miles of driving without an accident.
