ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of SP4 Alan Jeffery Bates (58) has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to escort him to Barrancas National Cemetery and stand a silent flag line in his honor. SP4 Bates honorably served in the United States Army from 9 Jan 1985 until 8 Jan 1988. He earned the following military awards and decorations: Army Service Ribbon, Air Crewman Badge, Army Good Conduct, Sharpshooter Badge.

Special Instructions:

Naval Air Station requires long sleeve shirts or jacket, long trousers, long fingered gloves, DOT Approved helmets, leather foot wear covering the ankles, and appropriate eye protection while riding on board the base.

11:00 am – KSU to Faith Chapel South
11:15 am – KSU to Barrancas National Cemetery
12:00 pm – Honors at Barrancas National Cemetery Site “A”
