ABOUT THE MISSION:

Alan Eugene Coffey is a United States Army Veteran. His MOS was Signals Intelligence, Electronic Warfare. Alan served in the United States Army and Army Reserves, including time in Vietnam. For his service to our country, Alan was awarded Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal w/1 OLC, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Army Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation w/2OLC, Vietnam Staff Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross, Unit Citation Badge with Palm, General Staff Identification Badge. Alan’s last duty assignment was with Headquarters, Sixth United States Army, FORSCOM (United States Army Forces Command). Having attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, Alan was honorably discharged on April 30, 1988, having served in the United States Army and United States Army Reserve for 20 years and 3 months.
