Honor Mission
Alan Clayton Moran, Veteran

ABOUT THE MISSION:

Alan Clayton Moran was a United States Army veteran. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1960 to 1966. Alan’s MOS (Military Occupation Specialty) was 765.10 Signal Supply and Parts Specialist. Alan served 1 year,10 months overseas service with Company A, 504th Signal Battalion in Germany. Alan was promoted to Specialist 4th Class in May of 1963. Sp4 Alan Moran was transferred to the United States Army Reserves in September of 1963 and honorably discharged in October 1966. While in the service of his country Alan earned the Expert Rifle M14 medal.  It is our honor to stand in silent reverence as we show respect and gratitude to this hero for his sacrifices made for this nation.

Although all prior statewide mandates have been lifted, members must still adhere to the following:. All members are required to carry a face mask/ cloth covering at all times during the mission. There are still partners (funeral homes, cemeteries, churches) that require masks to be worn. There are no exceptions.. If you feel ill or have a temperature, please stay home until you improve.. If, in the past week, you have tested positive for COVID-19, or you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past week, immediately contact the State Captain or an Assistant State Captain.. Social distancing is recommended, but not required, unless cemetery, funeral home, other partner require it, or if a family requests it.. Wash your hands before, during (as practical), and after missions.. Water will be provided by the flag support person and passed out only by that person. No snacks will be provided by flag support and members should not bring any to share either.
