HOTH Mission
Aaron Boyle, Retired
USA – WoT
Yelm, Washington – 05-11-19

ABOUT THE MISSION:

Ladies and Gentleman of the Patriot Guard Riders, we have been invited by Homes for our Troops to assist in honoring US Army Sergeant Aaron Boyle. Motivated by the 9/11 attacks, the Sergeant joined the Army after high school. He was following the legacy of his Father and Brothers that had served. During his second deployment to Afghanistan, Aaron stepped on an IED, which severely injured him. He lost his right leg and arm and his left leg was severely damaged. The Sergeant was medically discharged from the Army. As happens with most of our heroes, he endured and adapted to his circumstance. He adapted his lifestyle and continues to thrive. The Sergeant is involved with the local gym and hopes to pursue a career as a motivational speaker. Of course, this would not be possible without the love and support of his wife and three children.
Not having a home that is specially adapted to Aaron has been a challenge. Homes for our Troops is fixing that problem. The ceremony today is the kickoff event to building the Sergeant and his family a specially adapted home. This will give Aaron a hand up and eliminate many of the obstacles he faces daily, and allowing him the financial freedom to plan for his schooling and college for his children. Aaron, we want to thank you for your service to and sacrifice for our great country. Patriots, such as you are an inspiration to us all. Sergeant, we applaud you. Please join us in honoring another of our Nations Heroes.

Aaron Boyle Comment

  1. We were invited by Homes For Our Troops to organize the escort and stand a flag line for Sergeant Aaron Boyle. 95 dedicated patriots gathered at the staging area to provide an escort and rolling honor guard for this HERO. Staging took up the majority of a large parking lot. 67 cars from Military Mopars and the Mustang club staged all the vehicles, lining them up by color. A briefing was held with the Sergeant and his family in attendance. Yelm Police and Fire provided the lead vehicle and traffic control for all the vehicles, less the Rolling Honor Guard. The first group went out 30 minutes early to get the static flags put up and form and brief the flag line. The RHG them escorted the Sergeant and family to the venue. At the beginning of the ceremony, the Flag Line was moved inside and performed military honors during the ceremony. A plaque was presented to Sergeant Boyle and he was thanked for his service to and sacrifice for our great country. A long stand but worthwhile. Many thanks to all who came out and jumped in as needed. That includes the 2 Support Vehicles and 2 Ride Captains in Training. We received great support also from the Church and the local ROTC group. The assistance, ideas, thoughts and actions of all those at this mission made it a great success. All the groups represented at this mission, working together towards a common goal of honoring our HERO is what America is all about. You all held up the highest traditions and showed the utmost respect for our Flag, our Country and this HERO. I salute each of you.
