5th Annual Run For Responders
Watkinsville, Georgia – 09-26-21

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Oconee County High School Warrior Marching Band will be playing the national anthem around 1:30 pm, right before the race. We will have the ladder truck, police cars, EMS, as well as a KidZone that includes a dunk tank that our sheriff and police chief are going to be in, plus bouncy houses, obstacle course, live entertainment, games, and more. This is a fundraiser and a way for us to honor our local first responders.

Special Instructions:

Entering the Veterans Park from Hogs Mnt. Rd. (hwy 53) we will stage in the 1st parking lot on the right. There will be an American and Public Safety Flag at the entrance of that parking lot staging at 1:15 pm briefing at 1:30 pm. We will set a flag line at 1:45 pm as runners begin to line up to start the race and during announcements. At 1:55 pm they will have prayer and the band will play the National Anthem, then the race will start at 2 pm. After the runners pass by we will be dismissed but we are invited to stay and enjoy the activities.
Coronavirus precaution Disclosure: Please wash hands often and bring a mask. Be prepared to follow the guidelines from state and local officials as well as facility or cemetery guidelines to be outlined in the mission briefing.
Flags & Water:
Flags will be provided
Large Bike Flags will NOT be needed.
Water will be provided.
