2019 Snowball Express
Seattle, Washington – 12-07-19
ABOUT THE MISSION:
Ladies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders, we have been invited to stand a flag-line for this year’s Snowball Express with American Airlines and the Gary Sinise Foundation. This is an exciting Gold Star Children event that has been put on annually for several years, all Gold Star Children that register are able to attend until they’re 18. For those not aware Gold Star Children (those who have a parent pass away while in service to our country) are given this opportunity to attend this event where they can hang with other kids “just like them”. They don’t have to feel different, weird or alienated because the other families attending are exactly like them – some may have lost a father, others a mother, but they have all lost a parent. While that sounds like this should be a sad event, it is actually joyful and fun – all these kids are happy and excited to go to Disney World for five days! Please join with us to make this a memorable send off for these special children and parents who have had to pay such a high price for this country and all of us.

3:45 AM, arrive at AA check in to get name tags.
4:00 AM, proceed to TSA and gate, TBD – break down flag line and head back for shuttle pick up. The forecast is calling for a 30% chance of rain – temps in the upper 30’s – caging it is the better option this time! The plan for this event is to stage at an offsite parking, have them shuttle us and our flags to American Airlines where we will all be given name tags and head through TSA (there will be a check point set aside for this), we’ll then proceed to the gate and line up for the kids and their surviving parents to walk through to load on the plane. Semper Gumby will be in full force!***If you are planning on going, please email pgrmotherhen@gmail with your legal name, birth date, gender and the same for anyone that you’ll be bringing.
