After much consultation and discussion, the Senior Ride Captain for this ride, Ray Smith and I have decided to use the Alesso Funeral Home, 91 Union Street. Lodi, NJ as the staging area for this mission. All riders are requested to be at the funeral home by about 0900. The services for these two heroes will begin at 0930. After the short services, we will depart for the General William Doyle Cemetery in Arneytown, NJ. The New Jersey State Police will provide our escort down the Turnpike. We will make a scheduled stop at the Richard Stockton Rest Area, mile marker 58.7 to pick any riders who want to join the ride. Since there is a time consideration at the cemetery, we may stay at the rest area in case we are running ahead of schedule. Ride itineraries for all groups who want to post them will be posted on this thread after they have been received by Pappy, NJ State Captain. Any further questions can be directed to Pappy at his email address. See you all Friday morning.

There has been an effort in New Jersey to identify forgotten American Veterans. All too often these Veterans have been forgotten about for many years on the shelves of funeral parlours throughout our country. These are Veterans who served and died for our nation during our time of need and now lie forgotten and abandoned.. Their silent voices cry out for help. We have two such Veterans in New Jersey and the services are being planned for their final interment in the Brigadeer General William C Doyle Cemetery in Arneytown, NJ. The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to assist in the planning of this mission, and I have agreed.
This mission will consist of ceremonies to be held at the Alesso Funeral Home, 91 Union Street, Lodi, NJ. The ceremonies are scheluled for 0930 on Friday, May 15th with an escort to follow to the Brigadeer General William C Doyle Cemetery in Arneytown, NJ. At a meeting held in Oaklyn, NJ, the Patriot Guard Riders were designated as the group charged with arranging for this escort for these Veterans. We will be joined on this ride by many riding groups in New Jersey including but not limited to Rolling Thunder, American Legion Riders, Vietnam Vets, numerous HOG Chapters, and other groups too numerous to mention. All ride itineraries and staging information will be carried on this mission thread. Riders are encouraged to check back often until 15 May for updates as they occur. Let’s all get together and ride to take these Veterans to their well-deserved final resting place.
