Patriots, it is with a heavy heart, I inform you that America has lost another hero. 1stLt Clive “Wayne” Hemphill, Korean and Vietnam War Veteran, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016.
The family of 1stLt Clive “Wayne” Hemphill, U.S. Marine Corps (Ret), has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to stand tall and silent for their loved one.
1stLt Hemphill served his country with Honors in the US Marine Corps in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. 1stLt Hemphill enlisted in the Marines and worked hard to receive his commission, before retiring as a 1stLt. After retiring from the Marines, Wayne continued his service to our country by working for the Department of Defense for ten additional years.
Wayne is survived by two children, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, He loved them all greatly.
We have been requested by his family, to be present as they say good bye to one of our nation’s heroes.
We have the distinct honor of escorting and standing for this hero as he once stood for us. The PGR has been graciously invited to escort 1stLt Hemphill on his final journey from Found and Sons Funeral Chapel to his Final Resting Place at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, VA. At QNC, we will stand a flag line at his Service, and it is with great Honor that we will do so.
Mission Details:
1130 hrs Muster- Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg.
1145 hrs Safety Brief.
1200 hrs KSU, Escort to QNC, Triangle, VA
1245 hrs Set Flag Line Shelter D for Memorial Service Begins.
Flags WILL be provided and available at Shelter D, by Tom Lacey.
