ABOUT THE MISSION:

During LtCol Sleeper’s 29 years of service in the US Air Force, he was a pilot initially flying the F-86 Saber Jet and then transitioned into the B-52 Stratofortress bomber. In addition, he served as an Air Operations Officer and an Organization Commander. During his distinguished and honorable service, he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, and Air Medal w/6 OLC.

Prior to the riders briefing at the Visitor Center, four honor bikes will be selected to accompany the family vehicle to Committal Shelter A. After the riders briefing, the PGR will stand the flag line at the designated shelter where we will “Stand Tall and Silent” in honor of an American Hero LtCol Drew C. Sleeper, US Air Force and his wife Evelyn, due to the service being a double inurnment service. Family and friends will be in attendance. Upon conclusion of the double inurnment service, the flags will be furled and returned to storage, followed by rider debriefed and dismissed.

Water will be provided.
