McDonald\, United States Navy to stand in his honor and escort him to the Barrancas National Cemetery. Senior Chief McDonald served in the United States Navy for 27 years and 10 months and was transferred to the Fleet Reserve on 1 Feb.1987. During his service Senior Chief McDonald earn the following awards: Air Medal\, Meritorious Unit Commendation\, Vietnam Service Medal\, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal\, National Defense Service Medal\, Navy Commendation Medal w/Combat V\, Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation Civil Action Color\, Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation Gallantry Cross Color\, Good Conduct Medal (7th award)\, Navy Achievement Medal w/Gold Star.
