ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard will proudly escort AE2 Richard F. Heckler to Barrancas National Cemetery and stand a silent flag line in his honor. AES honorably and faithfully served his country in the United States Navy for 3 ears, 10 months, and was released from active duty on 1 Oct 1969.  Richard Heckler was born 18 January 1947 and passed from this earth on 21 December 2020 at the age of 73. He was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.

Special Instructions:

NAS Pensacola requires long sleeve shirts, long trousers, long fingered gloves, DOT approved helmets, leather footwear covering the ankles, and appropriate eye protection. This attire will be worn at all times while riding aboard the base.
Flags & Water:

If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water will be provided.
