HOTH Mission
Sgt. Troy David Jenkins Memorial Repair, KIA
USA USMC – WoT
Stapleton, Alabama – 06-20-19
Stapleton, Alabama – 06-20-19
ABOUT THE MISSION:
Army Sgt. Troy David Jenkins (served as a Marine prior to his Army service) was KIA on April 24, 2003 during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Sgt. Jenkins was critically wounded when an Iraqi child approached a group of soldiers with a cluster bomb. As the bomb went off, Jenkins threw himself over it. His memorial in Repton, AL is in need of cleanup, repair, and flag replacement. We will be honored to do this work with the assistance of the Southern Pine Electric Co-op who will provide lift trucks and help to replace the flag lines. Our local PGR members and other bikers have graciously donated the money for the flags and lines, which have already been purchased. All equipment necessary to do the job is in place. Please come and be a part of this great honor. We will ride to the location in Repton, AL – Approximately 1 hour each way to do the work.
