ABOUT THE MISSION:

Deputy Sheldon G. Whiteman was on-duty the early morning of Jan. 23, 2020 when a vehicle fled from 0fficers and a pursuit was initiated. Deputy Whiteman was assisting with this pursuit when he loss control of his patrol car resulting in a fatal crash.  Deputy Whiteman was with the Long County Sheriff’s Department for a few months, but was a six year veteran with the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department. He was 44 years of age and is survived by a wife and three young sons.
This is a two part mission over two days please read the entire mission post carefully.

Briefing will be at 4:30 pm.
We will stand a flag-line during the visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
When you enter the campus, the visitation will be at the gymnasium, located on the left side school.

Flags will be provided
Large Bike Flags will NOT be needed.
Water will be provided.
