VP of HOTH
John Fenech Bio:
I joined the Patriot Guard Riders on Sept 11, 2009. I have been a Ride Captain for almost 4 years now and have had the honor to stand side by side with some of the most generous and compassionate people I have ever known. I feel so strongly about this organization that my 3 children are also members. My 8-yr-old son Jack has stood side by side with me at both funerals and welcome homes, and I couldn't be more proud of all 3 of my children. Luckily for me Kim, my wife of over 29 years, understands my desire and supports me fully with the amount of time I spend supporting this and other veteran-related missions. I served five years in the United States Coast Guard. I am also involved in 2 local organizations on Long Island, NY where I live. They are 9-11 Veterans and the Long Beach Waterfront Warriors.
In my spare time I am a Building Maintenance Mechanic for American Airlines at JFK. I just celebrated my 25th anniversary with AA. I have had the honor to participate in Snowball Express for the past 7 years with amazing departure celebrations out of JFK. I also serve as Vice Chairman of our veteran's group at JFK called Our American Duty. Finally, I am also the current President of the Something mAAgic Foundation which is comprised of current and former AA employees who assist wish-granting organizations in helping making wishes come true for children with chronic and terminal illnesses. I am looking forward to stepping into my new role as HOTH VP and ensuring we leave no Veteran behind.
