We are proud to announce that the Gathering of the Guard 2009 will be held in Ogden, Utah! Mark your calendars and start planning for "A Weekend To Remember" July 30th - August 2nd, 2009. These dates were scheduled intentionally to allow members to go directly from here to Sturgis in time for the opening of the annual Rally; but we plan on making GOTG 2009 the best part of your trip. The GOTG 2009 website can be found in "Events" in the Navigation Menu or you can go directly to http://gotg.patriotguard.org/.

As we accessorize and customize our bikes we all end up with a garage full of parts that collect dust and take up space. We can't bring ourselves to get rid of these items, but we have no good use for them and may never need them again. Well, the PGR now has a need for those items. We need you to go through your garage and DONATE all of your good, clean, unwanted motorcycle accessories/parts to the PGR. We will sell these items on eBay and all proceeds (sales less shipping costs) will be used for the Legal Defense Fund. Motorcycle parts/accessories include pegs, seats, lights, handle bars, grips, kickstands, sissie bars, luggage, bags, mirrors, etc...

Please follow the simple steps listed below should you choose to participate in this event.

Ship your donated item to:

PGR Garage Sale
C/O BTC
900 N. East Ave.
Panama City, Florida 32401

Include a description with all pertinent info such as Part #, Make, Model, and Year if the item is bike specific.

Please include your name and email address as we will email you a receipt for your tax deductible donation. It will be up to each individual contributor to list the value of the donated item(s) on each receipt when received.

Should you have any questions that are specific to this fund raising event please email them to: pgrldfgaragesale@gmail.com

This flag was presented to my husband (far left) at his Welcome Home Ceremony back in July at my mother’s home in Kernersville, NC. Thank you to all who helped make that happen. He was very honored to take this flag with him on his most recent mission in Iraq. His platoon is included in the picture. They are part of Alpha Company with the 10th Mountain Division, 1st Brigade Combat Team. They have 3 months left in their 15-month tour.

My son-in-law took this flag with him when he returned for his 2nd tour in Iraq. He is a pilot on a Kiowa 58 with the 6th Squadron / 17th Cavalry. He was in Kuwait for three weeks before going to Iraq. When they left Kuwait for Iraq he attached a US flag on the right side of the Kiowa and this PGR flag on the left side and flew to Iraq with the flags attached. This flag has over 400 signatures including three Gold Star families, over 50 WWII Vets (one of which was shot down three times in a B-24), 36 Survivors of Iwo Jima, and a Congressional Metal of Honor recipient from Iwo Jima. There are also many Vets from Korea and Viet Nam and one man that was in the Pentagon when it was bombed on 9/11/01.

You might say this flag has a lot of history written on it.

Attached is a photo of my nephew, LCpl Matt [omitted], USMC with members of his platoon stationed in Iraq. I sent the flag with him when he deployed. The flag has ridden with him in every convoy escort he's done.
