Patriot Guard Riders Mission Statement |
|
The Patriot Guard Riders is a diverse amalgamation of riders from across the nation. We have one thing in common besides motorcycles. We have an unwavering respect for those who risk their very lives for America’s freedom and security. If you share this respect, please join us.
We don’t care what you ride or if you ride, what your political views are, or whether you’re a hawk or a dove. It is not a requirement that you be a veteran. It doesn't matter where you’re from or what your income is; you don’t even have to ride. The only prerequisite is Respect.
Our main mission is to attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family. Each mission we undertake has two basic objectives.
1. Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities.
2. Shield the mourning family and their friends from interruptions created by any protestor or group of protestors.
We accomplish the latter through strictly legal and non-violent means.
To those of you who are currently serving and fighting for the freedoms of others, at home and abroad, please know that we are backing you. We honor and support you with every mission we carry out, and we are praying for a safe return home for all. |

Operation PGR Flags for our Troops
Hi Members and Troops serving our country;
Attention PGR members: Would it make you proud to know that a PGR flag, that YOU sent, is at a USA military post in the sandbox? Now is your chance to step up and do something really important, to say thanks to our troops, and let the men and women on active duty know that we support them. About 5 new requests for flags are coming in every day, and your help is needed now. It's quick and easy: 82nd Airborne Dad will do all the work, and send the flag in your name. Please contact me TODAY!!!
nealjen@msn.com . . .
If you are part of a unit serving in Afghanistan or in the "Sandbox", send me your APO address, and I will send you a PGR flag: compliments of some of the greatest people on earth, they are true American patriots. These good people want to show their support of your commitment to our country.
Best wishes and God bless you all . . .
Running Tally of requests for Flags: 622 Requests as of this morning 24 February 2008.
Flags sent to our troops: 381 will have been mailed out as of Friday 29 February thank you all for your donations and well wishes to our troops.
Flag Pledges Received by me: 483
My computer crashed, and it has taken me some time to recover, but many photos were lost, and much info was lost. My updates have been slow in coming, but then I am going back to hard copies and sorting through old email messages to find the photos that were lost. It will take time . . .
Thank you all . . . | |

PGR Flags for our Troops Photo of the Day --

Hello Neal,
My name is Tondi (last name removed PERSEC). My Father, Ronnie Merrill, and I are members of the PGR in Alamogordo/Tularosa, NM. My husband is in the 5th Special Forces Group and assigned in Iraq right now for his 5th tour there, which will have him in country for nearly 4 years total once he returns this time. However, this time around I asked my Dad to see about sending along a PGR flag with my husband to fly with our SF team and we would send it back signed by our team members and others who worked with them.
The result was two flags: one that my Dad had here and one for our guys to fly and sign to send back. I wanted to send you this picture of our team that my husband emailed me not long ago. I was able to embroider our unit name onto the flag with our patches before they left for Iraq and now it flies proudly with them and has many signatures that will proudly be sent back to the post in Alamogordo/Tularosa when this deployment is over.
Your organization is phenomenal in support for our soldiers yesterday, today, and tomorrow. The flag that the PGR members signed will remain with our team as a reminder that Americans are awesome and really do support us in every way. I was looking on the web site and saw the pictures and information where flags are shipped and that is just awesome. We were blessed to have ours PGR flag sent from my Dad. I want to thank you again for all that you do. Those who have gone before us have paved the way for us to be able to fight the good fight today and have support as well. We are grateful for that gift.
