Below is the final itinerary and staging info for the mission for Pvt. Roger Baski:

Friday, 29 December, 2006 - Interment service at Fort Snelling National Cemetery

For the interment service on Friday we will stage at the Ikea store in Bloomington: 8000 Ikea Way, Bloomington, MN 55425. The Ikea store is located just North of the Mall of America. We will be staging at the North end of the parking lot near American Blvd.

11:15 AM - Staging area opens

12:00 PM - Mission Briefing

12:15 PM - Depart for Fort Snelling National Cemetery

12:30 PM - Set up flag lines

12:45 PM - Family and friends arrive

1:00 PM - Service begins

2:00 PM (EST.) - Dismissed

Current forecast for Friday is for a high of 35 with a 30% chance of rain and snow showers, so please dress accordingly.
We will consolidate cages at the Ikea staging area to minimize the number of cars rolling into FSNC.

Saturday, 30 December, 2006, Memorial service in Apple Valley

For the memorial service on Saturday we will stage at the Super Target at the Southeast corner of the intersection of Cedar Ave and County Rd 42 (150th St) in Apple Valley. The address is 15150 Cedar Ave, Apple Valley, MN 55124. Please gather in the Northwest corner of the parking lot. We will consolidate cages here and them move to the Henry W. Anderson mortuary for the memorial service.

We have also been invited to a gathering at the Apple Valley American Legion Post after the memorial service.

Current weather forecast for Saturday is for a high of 39 with a 40% chance of light rain and snow so please dress accordingly.

As always please remember to bring your flag and anything else you will need to be self sustaining for the duration of the mission.

Additional information: a check of the Minnesota member list has shown that Roger was also a member of the Patriot Guard. As a veteran he certainly understood the importance of our mission. Let's make sure we honor our fellow member and veteran in a manner befitting his service in the military and after his discharge.

The family of Roger Baski have requested the presence of the Patriot Guard at services to be held in his honor on Friday, 29 December and Saturday, 30 December.

Mr. Baski was born 11 September 1955 in Superior, WI. He served in the US Army from 27 June 1969 until he was honorably discharged on 18 April 1975. He passed suddenly on 21 December 2006.

We have been asked to stand guard at his interment service at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 1:00 PM on Friday, 29 December 2006, and at a memorial service to be held at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary in Apple Valley the afternoon of Saturday, 30 December 2006.

Mission staging information and itinerary will be posted as soon as they are available.
Ride Captain in charge for this mission will be Nate "Birdie" Zenker.

I will be unable to attend Friday due to another mission, but plan on attending the Memorial Service on Saturday.

I will be available for the service @ Ft Snelling.

Those heroes who make the ultimate sacrifice do not pass on alone. They are carried from the fields of battle by the Valkyr who carry them to Valhall. Here they will live on with all those who have gone on before to await the final and ultimate battle, Ragnnarök.
