We are having trouble getting any information regarding Maine's Fallen Hero: Spc. Joshua U. Humble. The parents have declined all media contacts by referring them to Major Michael Bacus of the Maine National Guard. We haven't been able to locate any notices of service. Pete's in the ME Nat'l Guard here...I'll see if he can get any information.

Mike: IF Adj Gen Libby can't get you additional info, maybe you can try to contact Major Backus while Pete works from the inside. I'll let you know if he succeeds.

TO OUR AMERICAN HERO: Spc. Joshua U. Humble Thank you for protecting me and mine. Rest in Peace.
TO HIS FAMILY: May God comfort and strengthen you in this difficult time. All of us here at PGR send our deepest condolences and heart felt thanks for your sacrifice also. We stand in awe & honor of this young AMERICAN HERO, your son.

Becky,
If you are afraid of riding on a motorcycle, then just don't. Fear is God's way of letting you know that something is dangerous for you. I can't speak for PGR, but it is my understanding that your respect and concern for the family of a fallen defender of our society is more than sufficient to join our ranks. On a cold or wet day even those of us who ride will show up in our cars. It is not our iron but our flesh and blood wrapped around our spirits that matters.

Well said mvbreakaway.

Little Joe - I am surely honored to stand & ride with America's Finest! I am glad you are aboard. "Welcome Home" and thanks for protecting me and mine!

Becky! Welcome to you too and hope to talk with you soon. My son also serving since Aug 2001 and my significant other in ME Army National Guard. Both have served in Iraq and additional tours lurking around the corner. Feel free to call me anytime. If you want to try, I'd be happy to give you a slow gentle ride on my bike. But remember...4 wheels are always welcomed! You could be the "tail" of all the bikes...a very important role and need. The tail would follow all the bikes, helping to keep traffic off our butts & riding to close. You can carry extra supplies & would help in case of an emergency...bike break down etc. See you & your 4 wheeler has a special calling too!

All riders...please continue to stand by, we are working on this one and will be in touch as soon as we got the details locked. Thanks & God Bless all

47UL -- please relay that our mission is not one of publicity, rather it is one of honor and respect.  Invite the family or family spokesperson to read through the "We Get Letters..." section, whose link can be found on our home page along the upper left edge.

It's all about a grateful America showing support at a time that a grieving family needs it most.  It's about Americans just doing the right thing.

Hey Kurt,

That was already done in the original message.  The General and I know each other fairly well, and are able to communicate freely.

I'm pretty sure the family is in shock.
