It is with a sad and heavy heart that I must post Tennessee has lost another Great American Hero, Retired Sgt. Major Texas Richard Getz, 64, of Clarksville, TN.  He retired from the United States Army, served in Vietnam, and several other overseas posts over the years.  He passed this world this morning, October 10th, 2008.

 

His son, SSgt Larry Getz was to deploy to the sandbox today, he has been given leave to handle his father's affairs............

 

VISITATION:  Monday, October 13, 2008 from 1600 - 2000 hrs CST

                     McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home

                     1209 Madison St.

                     Clarksville, TN

 

STAGING:     Monday at the funeral home at 1530 hrs.

 

FUNERAL/BURIAL:  Tuesday, October 14th, 2008 @ 1100 hrs

                               Graveside services will be at the KY Veteran's Cemetery W,
