ALL "missions" are important. This will be one I do not wanna miss, as I was privileged to be the funeral director rendering services for SSG Deason. Mike was from Desloge, my hometown.
RD made contact w/me & offered the "services" of the Patriot Guard. At the time of SSG Deason's death in Iraq I'd heard of the Patriot Guard - but, had zip exposure to PGR & now realize I didn't have a clue as to the many forms of ongoing PGR support. SSG Deason's family agreed to & requested PGR presence - like me - not really knowing what to expect. I now am fortunate to consider RD one of my best friends & PGR mentors. We all were flat blown away by the LOVE extended to SSG Deason's family. I soon thereafter joined the PGR & have been participating in missions as often as I can since then.
My wife & I operate our small mom'n'pop funeral home. One of our several "gifts" to SSG Deason's family in appreciation for his ultimate sacrifice to our country was the procurement of a Harley Hearse from The Tombstone Hearse Co. Check out the link to see a short video of the estimated 150+ PGR bikes that were in attendance for SSG Deason's funeral !
