__________________________________________________________________________________________ THIS IS A CONFIRMED ANC MISSION! (No other missions planned)
The family of SPC Christopher J. West has graciously invited the PGR to participate in the final mission of their Hero son. Christopher is to be buried in the hallowed grounds for Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) - as befits an American Hero who gave his all for his grateful country. Burial at ANC will be on Wednesday, 20 February, 2008 at approximately 1300 hours. It will be preceded by a family-only viewing on 19 February, and a Memorial Service at Murphy's Funeral Home in Arlington, VA on 20 February, prior to a procession to ANC for final services.
PGR will mount an Honor Flag Line for both the family-only viewing and the Memorial Services, will provide a mounted escort for the last journey of the Hero from the funeral home to ANC, and will proudly Stand in Honor at the graveside service.
It will take a while for the final times, etc to be firmed up, at which time a PGR mission plan will be published here,

Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of SPC Christopher J. West. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. Know
your son was and is a Hero to us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with
you always. He will never be forgotten.
Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Christopher.
Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.
Morning
Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

“Specialist West brought an upbeat attitude to the platoon that spread to everyone he met,” said 1st Lt. Rich Demarais, West’s platoon leader. “He loved being a combat medic and a paratrooper; he was loved by his brothers in the platoon.”
West graduated from Texas A&M.
