It is with deep regret that I read of another fellow veteran who has fallen in life's struggle. Although I may never have met Martin Westman, there is indeed a bond of service that links us forever, and makes us brothers with all who have ever stood on the line in defense of our country. It would be my honor to stand in respect for Martin and his family.

Martin , we fought a common cause, and I never got to say "Welcome Home" to you. Now, your watch is ended and you have finally gone "HOME".

May our God grant you total peace eternal, for you have earned it my brother. Rest In Peace and tell all our brothers and sisters “Welcome Home” for me.

MISS ME

When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me.
I want no rites in a gloom filled room, why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little, but not too long and not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that we once shared…miss me, but not too long.
For this is a journey all must take and each must go alone.
It is all part of the Master’s plan, a step in the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we know.
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds…miss me, but let me go.

To family and friends, know that Martin’s rest is now peaceful as he awaits all of us.
May God give each of you the peace and strength to miss him, but let him go.
