Final Staging for WWII vet Cpl. Raymond Benson's Interment  Service in Wahkon, MN, 30 June 2007

 

0935 Staging opens

Cenex/Federated Co-Ops Gas Station

925 S Hwy 47

Isle, MN 56342

0950 Briefing/Waivers

1000 Kickstands up for cemetery (2.5 mile ride)

1015 Flag lines formed

1100 Interment Service

1130 Approximate end of service

1200 Post mission gathering will be at the White Cap Inn on Lake Mille Lacs

 

Starr Marshall is the RCIC

 

The funeral home director and the White Cap Inn have asked for a headcount so please email Starr at brainerd@mnpatriotguard.org or call her at 218-851-5815 if you plan to attend by Thursday evening.

 

Individual sectors may set specific staging.  Please contact your Ride Captain for details.

We have been invited to attend the service for Raymond Earl Benson.

Ray was a WWII Vet, a Corporal in the Army, and received the National Defense Service Medal.  We will attend the interment service only.

 

Tentative Staging Information.

Stage at Pine Square in Brainerd at 0815, depart at 0830 Meet up with others staged at the Westerlund Cenex at 0900 Briefing and 0920 Depart Malmo at 0930 Arrive at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Wahkon, MN (Highway 27) by 1000 Interment Service 1100 Dismissed approximately 1200 We will be going to a Vets club afterward for a post mission gathering

 

Final staging information will be posted by June 28, 2007

 

Starr Marshall, Brainerd RC, will be the RCIC on this mission.

My condolences and prayers to the family and friends of WWII Veteran Raymond Earl Benson. I thank you for your military service and sacriifces you made for this great country in keeping peace worldwide. You may be gone, but, you will never be forgotten.
