I am saddened by the loss of another young, American life. My thoughts, prayers, and sincere condolences to the family and friends of Spc. Jeremiah Costello. My heartfelt gratitude to this American hero for answering the call when his country needed him. I will always hold in the highest regard those American men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and to those who are still in harms way. These words will not fill the emptiness felt by the loss of Jeremiah but serves as a reminder that the people of this great nation care and also feel this loss.

May God bless this American Hero and keep him by his side. I will do my best to be there to escort and honor this American hero to his final resting place.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Spc. Jeremiah D. Costello.  I appreciate all of his contributions to our country and may there be a special place for him in heaven. He gave his 'all' so young.   He has joined the ranks of heroes and I love him for that.  He is America's son, and I am an American.  That makes him partly my loss too. I will never forget.

Since I live in Carlinville, I thought I'd post a bit of info that would help anyone who might travel here for this.

Here's a link to a Yahoo map that shows where the funeral home is:

http://tinyurl.com/ys6krx

The Carlinville exit off I-55 is exit #60.  From there you take route 108 west into town.  Once you hit the edge of town, you travel 8 or 9 blocks before you hit a 4 way stop.  You turn right (north) at the 4 way, and go one short block before you hit the town square.

You have to turn right and go counter-clockwise around it - Kinda like a traffic circle.  You go 3/4 of the way around it and exit headed west, still on route 108.

A few blocks down you cross some RR tracks. Then you'll pass the high school on the left and wally world on the right. The funeral home is about 1/2 mile past wally world on the left (south) side of route 108.  The sign sneaks up on you pretty quick, and it's easy to miss.

The Southern Baptist Church is another 1/2 mile west of the funeral home, and is also on the south side of route 108.

If you happen to be travelling to Carlinville on route 4 from the north or south, route 4 also goes through the town square. Just make sure you get off the square headed west on route 108.

Please be careful travelling.  If you have questions or if I can otherwise be of assistance, you can email me at rsitruss@yahoo.com and I'll do whatever I can to help.
