Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the 3637th Deployment Ceremony on the 5th of June 07 and escort of the 3637th to the Capital Airport on the 7th June 07.
 
Staging and times will be posted as soon as possible.

WMAY has free “Support the Troops” type signs and flags at the downtown studios today.  They’re mainly to use in support of the deployment parade, but they’ll give them to anybody who wants them.

3637th Maintenance Company Soldiers to serve in Iraq

SPRINGFIELD - Soldiers from the 3637th Maintenance Company deploying to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, will leave for their mobilization site of Fort Hood, Texas from Camp Lincoln in Springfield the morning of June 7.

The unit will board busses at 8 a.m. then depart for Landmark Aviation, Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport. Media must contact Public Affairs for access to Camp Lincoln for the departure and must arrive by 7 a.m.

The busses carrying Soldiers will travel through downtown Springfield at approximately 8:30 a.m. before arriving at the airport. The route is as follows:

The busses will travel from Camp Lincoln, to North Grand Avenue then head south on Walnut, east on Madison, south on Fifth Street, east on Monroe, north on Sixth Street, west on Jefferson and north on J. David Jones Parkway, ending at the airport.
