Korean War Veteran - SP5 Floyd R. Stauffer, 75, Minneapolis, MN - 21 MAY 07 

The family of SP5 Floyd R. Stauffer have requested the Patriot Guard be present to honor him at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Monday, 21 MAY 07. He served in the US Army from 1948 to 1961, was a Veteran of the Korean War, and a Ranger. He was a patriotic American who loved his country and served it with pride.Staging for this mission will be at the IKEA Parking lot just North of the Mall of America, near American Blvd: 8000 IKEA Way,Bloomington, MN 55425

 Itinerary:

9:45 AM - Stage at IKEA in Bloomington

10:05 AM - Mission Briefing

10:15 AM - Depart for FSNC

10:20 AM - Arrive at FSNC, form flag lines

10:45 AM - Funeral service begins

11:30 AM (EST) - Dismissed 

The long range forecast for Monday is temps in the upper 70s with a chance of scattered thunderstorms, please dress accordingly.

My deep sympathies to the family and friends of SP5. Floyd Stauffer during this difficult time. I appreciate the service, and sacrifice SP5. Stauffer made to our country. As the daughter of a Korean mother who survived the War, my mother, her siblings, and I are eternally grateful for heroes like Sp5 Stauffer. May God bless SP5 Stauffer, his family and friends.

Thank you for your willingness to defend the United States of America and her freedoms and interests. Your death brings much sorrow and sadness to the hearts and lives of your family, friends, military brothers and sisters, each and every member of the Patriot Guard Riders, and all who truly appreciate their freedom. We are proud of your service and dedication in that which you believed in and fought for. Your mission is complete. You are truly an American hero and the world in which we live is a safer place because of your commitment to freedom. We will now proudly stand for you with honor, dignity, and respect.
