Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Dennis.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: 1. Jesus Christ. 2. The American G.I. One died for your soul, the other for your Freedom.

It is end of watch now, Dennis. You served your country well and proud. Stand down now and meet your reward. I hope that it isn't too late now to thank you for your service to your country. Now, at last, the US flags will fly in your honor. We salute you, Dennis. Stand tall when you stands before Gabriel at the gates of heaven. You deserve your time in heaven. You already did your time in hell.

It was my honor to stand for Dennis Ellettt today.  From what I heard during the service, this is a man who touched many lives and truly lived life to the fullest.  I wish I was better with words so I could better express the admiration and respect I feel for this gentleman.  Many thanks to the family for allowing us to do our small part.

I took a few pictures that can be seen at http://deltacsphotos.shutterfly.com  Feel free to do with them as you wish.

As Dennis' son I want to offer a big "thank you" to those who stood outside the service. It was very special, especially for my mother. Dad rarely talked about his time in Vietnam but I know it had a profound effect on him. I'm honored that men who did not even know him would dedicate their time to be at the service. Thanks again, it was very appreciated by the family.
