The family was thankful and impressed with the out pouring of love and support from the PGR, however, they want tonight and tomorrow to be private and for just the family. CAO Farrar just called me with the family's wishes, I advised him we would do only what they wanted, but that we would be there with them in Spirit............ CAO Farrar, Doc, asked me to pass on to all that he was very proud of how we stand in support, and if he could he would have us present tomorrow, but it's not about him or us, it's about the Family and Cpl. Richard, Richey, Quill.....
God Bless and Protect this Family during the next couple of days, and comfort them in the days ahead..............

A person is not judged a Hero by the way he died-rather by the way he lived.
The price of freedom is visible at any Veteran's Hospital.
If you want to salute, or cover your heart with your hand, or just stand silently holding the flag, it's your choice. The only thing I request is that you do it in a respectful manner. I am a combat veteran. I served my country. I led young men and boys face to face in combat with their enemy. I also am a disabled veteran. War related. I have certainly earned the right to salute in a respectful manner but my salute is no more important than any nonveteran standing in our flag line. My love for America and my respect for our fallen warriors is no more or no less important than anyone else that comes to our PGR mission. I have fought for my country and I will continue to fight for the rights of every person that stands in our flag line.
Georgia PGR.... PART OF IT- PROUD OF IT!
If it's truly not about us, then it doesn't matter what logo we wear on our backs as long as we honor our warriors in a respectful manner. If it takes a village to raise a child, then it should take the nation to honor it's warriors. |

| To the family and friends of Cpl.Richard O. Quill III. I can only give my warmest and most heartfelt condolences and offer my thanks to him for what he has done for us all. Standing by in Chattanooga Tn. "I feel how weak and fruitless must be any words of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering to you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.
Yours very sincerely and respectfully,
A. Lincoln. "

| My family and I join the Quill family in grieving for your loss of Richard. Our most sincere condolences to his family and friends. You have lost someone special to you and we have lost another true american hero. Somehow thank you for Richards service to our country seems to fall short at a time like this but I want you all to know that even thought he is gone his memory will live on forever, the pain you face in the days and weeks ahead may never stop but know that my family and I share in the mourning, You do not stand alone, my family and I as well as my brother and sister PGR members stand with you. Patriots like Richard are what gives us the freedom we so cherish. Your loss is our loss, My son is still recovering from wounds he recieved in Iraq in July. I cannot claim to know exactly what you are going through but I remember getting the call last year I and how hurt I was. I do feel deeply for your loss because my son was 22 when he was injured. There is no doubt that you Love Richard but know this, WE love him too and we love each and every one of you. Richard may be gone but he will live forever in out hearts and minds and each time we tell our families about a mission we attended to pay hommage to a fallen warrior they to will remember and they will tell the story. I pray that the Almighty will be with you in your time of need and help you all through the tough times ahead. God Bless you all. It will be my honor to ride for Richard and I will stand for Richard because he stood for me. I stand by in Dallas, Ga. waiting to ride with respect and stand for a young man who made a difference for us all. |

Thank you, CPL Quill. Thank you for standing in the gap. Thank you for two tours half a world away. Thank you for your willingness to defend our freedom. Thank you for being a United States Marine. You made a choice to stand for those who are not as strong as you. There is no more noble or honorable choice. To Richey's family, friends and fellow Marines, we too mourn the loss of a warrior, a son, a brother, a friend. A son of Georgia. I pray that God will comfort, strengthen and guide each and every one of you as only He can.
Stand down, Little Brother, you're duty is done. We'll take the watch. |

| My condolences to the family of Cpl Quill. He is a true hero who will be remembered with honor and respect by a grateful and deeply indebted nation. I lost my son in March 2006 near Al Anbar. The support of family, friends and strangers gave us great comfort-I hope you find comfort there, too. And I hope your pain is eased eventually, by remembering instead the happy times with your hero. Cpl Quill's heroism is truly appreciated, and his loss is mourned by many. God bless you. Julie Francis, Matt's Mom |

Thank you for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. As a nation we mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To the family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are going through-my son, a Marine LCpl, was killed in Iraq. I pray wonderful memories of your dear warrior help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. Your hero will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve.
