The Blue Star Mothers of NC, Triad Ch#3 will be conducting a "Blue To Gold Memorial Service" on Saturday, November 21st, at 3:00 PM. The ceremony is to honor the Fallen Heroes from Central North Carolina, and the Families they left behind.

The Blue Star Mothers have invited the Patriot Guard to participate. We will form a flagline as the Gold Star Families arrive. Some PGR will also serve as escorts into the service and up to the front as these Gold Star Mothers or Wives receive their Gold Star Banners.

TIME:
Saturday, November 21st, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

PLACE:
Life Community Church
             4900 West Wendover Ave.
             Jamestown, NC
(at the edge of Greensboro)

STAGING:
1:30 PM, at the church. We will establish a flagline by 2:00 PM, to be in place before the families arrive.
Anyone who wishes can go inside during the ceremony, as we did last year.  We will then re-establish the flagline afterwards, for the families' departure.

Ride Captain will be Barbara Tucker, "AF Mom in NC,"
and NC Central Region Captain Lamar Mullis, "Dynalowgirl"

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: Mapquest and Google Maps are both giving complicated directions because some construction JUST got finished and some road signs have been changed yet again (or not yet)! Your GPS may do the same thing. The church is easy to find, if you know where to look. THE MAIN ENTRANCE IS ON WENDOVER AVE.

From "I-40" - the old one that goes straight through town - take the WEST WENDOVER exit, and head west/south. You will go through all the shopping district, then will cross the new highway loop (staying on Wendover), past the traffic light at Piedmont Parkway, just past the retaining pond on the right is the main entrance to Life Community Church. The driveway loops back up and around to the back of the building, which is actually the main entrance. It's about 2.5 miles from I-40 (old) to the church.
OR: From the new southern loop, sometimes called "new 40" or the signs that show 421 South/I-73 (if you are coming from the west), take the WENDOVER AVE/Jamestown exit, and go toward Jamestown (away from Greensboro). Stay on Wendover. You will go through the traffic light at Piedmont Parkway, past the pond on the right to the main entrance, it should be about 1 mile.

I plan to have a couple big flags staked out there at the entrance, to help guide folks in.
