I wish to express my heartfelt regret and sympathy to the loved ones of U.S. Army PFC Michael Pearson. Words are weak at a time like this; but I need to let the family know how sorry I am for their loss. My honor and respect to Michael for his service to our country. There is an eternal bond that connects all who have ever served our country with honor which can never be broken. I truly believe that this young soldier now rests in the company of legions of heroes. I pray to The God of Our Fathers on behalf of all whose hearts have been terribly wounded. May they be comforted with love and compassion, and may they find the solace and strength to go on through all the coming days.

We mourn with the families, fellow soldiers, Ft. Hood, Killeen, TX, and all of America for this terrible tragedy. It is unthinkable that we could lose so many here at home like this. And yet, the circumstances do not diminish the fact that these brave soldiers lost their lives because they were wearing the uniform of the United States Army, and were in a place where they were preparing to deploy or returning from deployment. We are so grateful to all our soldiers who have volunteered to protect the United States of America, and to help establish freedom around the world for those who cannot defend themselves. Their efforts are appreciated.

We will remember your soldier with honor and respect. And we will keep your families and communities in our prayers.
