Patriot Guard Riders,
This is the Final Itinerary for the Patriot Guard Riders Mission to honor U.S. Army Veteran (Korean Conflict) Buford D. Eanes, 82 of Danville, VA who passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2009. Buford Son, Ray, a veteran and rider has graciously invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor Army Veteran Eanes and escort him to his eternal place of rest in Danville, Virginia, Monday, November 9, 2009.
This mission is a GO; all Contact have been made and this Mission Order is hereby executed.
Mission: Honor Flag Line and Honor Mission Escort from Memorial Service to Cemetery on Monday, November 9, 2009.
Ride Captain: Mission Ride Captain for planning and coordination is Tony “Double T” Turner. Tony may designate an Honor Mission Co-Ride Captain to assist with actual Honor Escort, therefore please stay apprised of this Mission Order by enabling auto email (check box on mission thread). Tony may be reached at 434-728-1968 and by email at pgr@DanRiverregion.com.
Weather: Sunny. Cooler in the morning with expected highs in the lower 70s. Light and variable winds.
Dress appropriately for cooler to warm weather conditions. Bring flag poles and 3’x5’ U.S. Flags; rigged for an Honor Mission and able to sustained highway speeds. Bring all the extra flags you’ve got. A motorcycle Escort Mission is the primary mission plan.
Mission Plan:
Staging Site / Times – From 12:45PM – 1:15PM at Sheetz, 3425 Riverside Dr., Danville, VA 24541-4631. Mission Brief to commence at 1:15 and Kickstands Up (KSU) promptly at 1:20 PM. Escort Route to be briefed at staging area. URL of Map link to Staging area:

Ride protocol is as Follows:

1. Bikes: Large (3’x5’) U.S. Flags rigged for Honor Escort
Small(er) U.S. Flags rigged for Honor Escort
No Flags on Honor Escort
2. Autos: Family Motorcade:
Same as Flag/no Flag order as bikes
Please remember that our Mission is to show Respect and Honor this Korean Conflict Army Veteran, Husband, Father and a National Hero. Stand tall and proud as we salute this Hero and his family for their Military service; their scarifies and loss of a Patriot and Great American.
