In addition to being a veteran of America's armed forces (which truly is more than enough), Mr. Cowart was also a rider with CMA (Christian Motorcyclists Association).
In other words, he was also our brother in the wind.
I'm trying to rearrange my Monday so that I can be there for him. If I can't and you can.........please take my spot.

Thank you to all who attended the honor mission today for Billy Cowart. We had 50 bikes, one cage, and my flag wagon. Three new PGR members attended today’s mission as did many members of the Christian Motorcyclists Association. We stood the flag line during the time friends and family arrived for the funeral service. We then stood down until forming up again for the salute as the casket was loaded into the hearse. We then mounted up and rode to the cemetery with LEO escort all the way. Thank you to Belton PD for the escort. The PGR was in front of the hearse. Five family members rode their bikes in a special place between the hearse and the family car in the procession to the cemetery. The lead bike in that group was Billy Cowarts bike. At the request of the family, all bikes in the procession rode with their rear pegs down. Thank you to Pappa Smurf for stepping up when a request went out for one more pall bearer. We had another request from the family when we arrived at the cemetery. Billy Cowarts bike was the last one to have the ignition turned off. The PGR then formed up a flag line during the graveside service. At the end of the ceremony we then stood down the flag line and mounted up. Thank you to Cox funeral home for all the assistance and once again thank you to all who attended. The town of Belton today saw that something important happened in their town as Billy Cowart made his last ride. The town of Belton knows what it means when we say “listen for the rumble”.
