HONOR FLIGHT
WWll VETERANS
CHICAGO, IL
The Welcome Home coordinator for Chicago Honor Flight has invited the Patriot Guard to stand with other Patriots as the veterans return from Washington.
The WWll veterans are escorted from Chicago early in the day and flown to Washington to visit all the military memorials. Each veteran is accompanied by a guardian to ensure they arrive and return safely. While on the return flight , there is mail call for each guest .Please join us as we honor the service of these veterans.
DATE:
Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009
LOCATION:
Midway Airport
STAGING:
8:15 pm
Cages, parking is available in any lot, bikes should turn right just before the arrival terminal to go through the gate for parking. There is a private lot that we are allowed to use per USO instructions
MISSION BRIEF:
8:30 pm
A short briefing will be held in the lot prior to entering the building as a group. The flag line will enter through the baggage claim area.and proceed to the arrival area.

| I would like to thank EVERYONE from ALL the Great groups that showed up to make the return of Honor Flight Chicago a Huge Success. Honor Flight Chicago has 2 flights scheduled for October which will be on our Calendar shortly. This is truly a great cause and an opportunity to welcome home 80 WWII Vets in one spectacular show of honor and respect for their Service and Sacrifice. If you have never been to one of these, I would recommend going at least once because this is one of those things that has to be experienced to be beleived. I would like to thank again everyone who attended! |
