This a Confirmed ANC Mission! =======================
STSCM/SS Timothy Barber, USN (ret) of Virginia Beach, VA is to be laid to his final rest on 20 November, 2009 on the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) at approximately 1100 hours from the ANC Administration Building.
Mr. Barber was a 22-year, highly decorated Navy veteran who served aboard the USS Haddock (SSN 621), USS Pogy (SSN647), USS Tinosa (SSN 606), USS Miami (SSN 755) and lastly, USS Boise (SSN764), where he was the "chief of the boat". He served during the Iranian Hostage Crisis and Desert Storm. He was truly a "sailor's sailor", having sailed all of the Seven Seas. Among numerous awards received by Mr. Barber in his service to his country, were: four Meritorious Unit Commendation medals, two Navy "E" ribbons, two Navy Expeditionary medals and five Good Conduct medals.
After retiring from the Navy, Mr. Barber was employed by L-3 Systems and WR Systems in Norfolk, VA. Mr. Barber was an avid motorcyclist and a past commander of American Legion Post 280 in Chesapeake.
From Pam, his wife: "Thank you for your presence and honoring my husband. We have a few friends around the country that are members of the PGR. It is a great honor to have you there."
PGR will be there - standing tall, silent and proud for this true American Hero.
Mission plans, once finalized, will be posted here.

My deepest sympathy go out to the family and friends of STSCM/SS Timothy Barber. Thank you for your services to this country. Rest in peace your job is done.
I thought I saw your face today, in the sparkle of the morning sun. And then I heard the angel say, "Their work on earth is done."
I thought I heard your voice today, then laugh your hearty laugh. And then I heard the angel say, "There's peace dear one at last."
I thought that you had left me, for the stars so far above. And then I heard the angel say, "They left you with their love."
I thought that I would miss you so, and never find my way. And then I heard the angel say, "They're with you every day." "The sun, the wind, the moon, the stars, will forever be around, reminding you of the love you shared, and the peace they've finally found

We salute you , My Friend
Final Inspection
The soldier stood and faced God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining. Just as brightly as his brass. "Step forward now, soldier. How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To My Church have you been true?" The soldier squared his shoulders and said, "No, Lord, I guess I ain't. Because those of us who carry guns, Can't always be a saint. I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was tough. And sometimes I've been violent, Because the world is awfully rough. But, I never took a penny, That wasn't mine to keep.... Though I worked a lot of overtime. When the bills just got too steep. And I never passed a cry for help, Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God, forgive me, I've wept unmanly tears. I know I don't deserve a place, Among the people here. They never wanted me around, Except to calm their fears. If you've a place for me here, Lord. It needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don’t, I’ll understand. There was a silence all around the throne, Where the saints had often trod. As the soldier waited quietly, For the judgment of his God. "Step forward now, soldier you’ve borne your burdens well. Walk peacefully on Heaven’s streets; you’ve done your time in Hell."
