Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of William H Schneider, WWII, Navy Retired CPO Veteran. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. He is one of America's Heroes that will never be forgotten.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, William.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

Ask The Chief

" Once A Chief Always A Chief "

The entire " Patriot Guard Riders " joins me in offering our sincere prayers and our condolences to his loving wife Glenda , son Butch ,daughter inlaw Marie and family and friends and shipmates of United States WWII Navy Chief (Ret) William H Schneider, 86, Hobe Sound FL,, (Backbone of the Navy) . Thank you Chief for your service and sacrifice and for your honorable and dedicated ...."CAN DO"...service to our Country and to the Greatest Navy on Earth ! Thank you for your Honor, Courage and Commitment ! We will not forget the sacrifice you made to protect our freedom and way of life....... E Pluribus Unum............One Cause One Mission............... RESPECT.........Standing For Those Who Stood For US ............ Fair Winds And Following Seas ...................... Standing in Spirit In Pembroke MA .........BRAVO ZULU CHIEF SCHNEIDER

In the Navy, they live by three words. Honor, Courage and Commitment. Looking at the heritage of the Chief Petty Officers, their service, sacrifice and leadership: in peace, wars and in times of national crisis. Two tiny little anchors of bright and shiny gold few know of their significance or the treasures that they hold. A great CPO doesn't earn those anchors once -- they earn them every day .One thing I wasn't aware of at the time, but became evident as life wore on, was that I learned true leadership from the finest examples any young lad was ever given. Chief Petty Officers, they were crusty bastards who had done it all and had been forged into men . They took eighteen-year-old idiots and hammered the stupid bastards into sailors. You knew instinctively it had to be hell on earth to have been born a Chief's kid. God should have given all sons born to Chiefs a return option. A Chief didn't have to command respect. He got it because there was nothing else you could give them. They were God's designated hitters on earth. Chiefs are the standard by which you measure all others. . You are a Chief now and you will always be a Chief ! ......You are the best of the best of the best. Thank you Chief Schneider.

"CPO"

Those elevated to the rank of Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy join a class of dedicated and proven leaders and share in the Navy's time-honored tradition of recognizing and advancing those who serve with distinction. As one of the top four ranks for enlisted personnel, the role of Chief Petty Officer carries with it both added responsibilities and new privileges, signified by a noticeable change in insignia and uniform.As experienced and accomplished leaders, the men and women who have risen to the level of Chief Petty Officer play a vital role in advancing the cause of the Navy to spread freedom and democracy throughout the world. Chief Petty Officers "past, present, and future" whose dedication and commitment have earned them a distinguished place in the world's most powerful maritime force.

Eternal Father (Strong To Save)

In the words of President John F. Kennedy, in a speech delivered in 1962: "...we all came from the sea. And it is an interesting biological fact that all of us have, in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and, therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears. We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch it we are going back from whence we came."

Mariner's 23rd Psalm

The Lord is my pilot, I shall not go adrift; He lighteth my passage across dark channels;

He steereth me through the deep waters,

He keepeth my log.

He guideth me by the evening star for my safety's sake.

Yes, though I sail mid the thunders and tempests of life,

I fear no peril, for Thou art with me,

Thy stars and heavens, they comfort me.

The vastness of the sea upholds me.

Surely fair winds and safe harbors shall be found

All the days of my life;

And I shall dock, secure forever.

Amen.
