MISSION COMPLETE REPORT for MSG Thomas Lewellen.  Visitation was held on
Wednesday, July 1, 2009, from 1000 to 1100 with a memorial service from 1100 to 1130.
There were eight bikes, two cages and 10 PGR members (including 3 first time riders)
that rallied at Altmeyer Funeral Home on Jefferson Ave, in Newport News, VA.  Ride
Captain, Becca "Lady Harley" Landick and Co-Ride Captain, Jim "Da Bears" McGinley,
conducted the brief at 0945 and the contingent formed a corridor flag line to receive
family and guests.  Follow the memorial service, at approximately 1145, the PGR, with
the assistance of the Virginia Beach Motorcycle Funeral Assistance Officers, the Newport News
Police Department and the Suffolk Sheriff's Department, escorted the cremains, family and
friends to Albert G. Horton, Jr., Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Suffolk, VA for Military
Honors and internment.  Another PGR member (cage) was waiting at the cemetary to stand
the flag line with us.  At 1310 the PGR debriefed and departed.  No safety incidents were
incurred during the entire mission.  My sincere thanks to my Co-Ride Captain for his superb
assistance and leadership.  Also, "Job Well Done" to all the members that participated and
especially to our first timers.  Without the dedication of our volunteers, missions such as
this one would never happen.  I am humbled by all of you and it is my honor to ride with
you.  MSG Lewellen's family asked me to extend their deepest appreciation for our being
there to honor him.

Very respectfully,

Becca "Lady Harley" Landick

Thanks for coming to Honor Tom yesterday. He was a member of our Chapter of the 82nd Airborne Division Association. Every one of our members that attended yesterday commented on the presence of the Patriot Guard. They all thought it was fantastic that people who didn't even know him took time out of their day to pay respects and escort him to his final resting place. All of you are awesome. I hope to be able to attend more often alongside all of you. Thanks once again. AIRBORNE!! I attached a photo of Tom.
