This is 'Auntie Dee' to our SoCal PGR brother BNROCK. He writes that Auntie Dee has outlived most of her family so this will kindof be a special SoCal PGR Vets without Families.
Timetable for her honors on Monday 6 July, 2009:
10:45 meet at Riverside National Cemetary 22495 Van Buren Blvd. Riverside, CA 92518 Admin Bldg parking lot 11:00 pre ride meeting 11:15 proceed to to-be-determined Staging Area 11:30 Flag Line and Military Honors
r/c Buz Sawyer 323-600-4331
Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the staging area and you will be briefed there. Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). You may monitor this thread by checking the “Email me when someone replies to this thread “ bug and you will receive an email if there are any updates. Please ride/drive safely.
Thanks!

Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of
Phyllis J. Shinnick, WAC Corporal, Korean War Veteran. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. She is
one of America's Heroes that will never be forgotten.
Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Phyllis.
Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.
Morning
Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

To the family and friends of Veteran Phyllis Shinnick,
There are no words or platitudes that can temper your pain. I can’t think of anything in life that could be more painful, then the loss of a loved one.
I would, however, like to take a moment to remind you that as deep as the hole in your heart feels at this time, it will be filled over time with the wonderful times spent together.
“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal” ~From a headstone in Ireland
Thank you Phyllis for your service to our nation, and it's people, you are a hero to all.
