My sincere apologies for your loss. As an ex USAF officer and former Fredericksburg resident for 10 years, the emphasis on sacrifice of our fallen soldiers is profoundly evident in our local Civil War memorial sites, and should never be forgotten. Your sacrifice means I live in total freedom, unlike nowhere else on Earth. God rest your valiant soul and grant you peace and comfort.

Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of CPL. Ryan C. McGhee. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. Know
your son was and is a Hero to us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with
you always. He will never be forgotten.
Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Ryan.
Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.
Morning
Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

To the family and friends of the ever so young Cpl Ryan McGhee,
There are no words or platitudes that can temper your pain. I can’t think of anything in life that could be more painful, then the loss of a loved one, especially a son.
I would, however, like to take a moment to remind you that as deep as the hole in your heart feels at this time, it will be filled over time with the wonderful times spent together.
“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal” ~From a headstone in Ireland
Thank you Ryan for your service to our nation, and it's people, you are a hero to all.
