On Wednesday July 29 2009, Delta Flight 1920 from Atlanta @ 4:54 PM, with Sgt. Stanley Earl Baylor will be coming home. Sgt. Baylor was reported missing in action 11-02-1950 after a battle in Korea where his entire unit was killed. 
 
 
We will stage at the Wilson Farms/Sunoco station at 1133 Scottsville Rd. @ 4:20 PM, kick stands up at 4:30 PM. There will be a Fort Drum Honor Guard, Airport fire equipment (booms extended with the American Flag), and the Patriot Guard Riders, we will be allowed on the tarmac. We will escort the Hearse to Warsaw via 390 to 490 west exiting at Leroy/route 19. We will have State Police escort, and the speed is planned at 45 MPH on the expressway. Nigel Heaton is Ride Captain for the Rochester Airport and escort to Warsaw.

The mission will consist of the honor guard for the plane's arrival and then the escort, not all of you will be able to do both, we all understand if you have to leave.

It is with the utmost respect that I offer my condolences to a true American Hero. Stanley, may you rest in the knowledge that your duty was well done and you have the thanks of an entire nation for your sacrifice and your service. I know that you will now be in the company of your fellow veterans who have gone before you and who will welcome you at the Gates upon your arrival. Stand down now and know that we will carry on your legacy of freedom for all our citizens. To your family and friends I ask that God comfort them now in their time of despair and remain with them as they adjust to their loss.

To the family and friends of the ever so young Sgt Stanley Earl Baylor,

There are no words or platitudes that can temper your pain. I can’t think of anything in life that could be more painful, then the loss of a loved one, especially a son.

I would, however, like to take a moment to remind you that as deep as the hole in your heart feels at this time, it will be filled over time with the wonderful times spent together.
