Please accept our deepest sympathies from all of Iowa.

Without the heros of this quickly fading generation, most of us who came along afterwards would not have the lives we do today.

Mission Report

Today’s mission in Prinsburg for Dick Marcus brought 10 PGR members for all over the state, one from as far as Moorhead. We started our day at the Prinsburg Fire Department; they were great in giving us a nice warm room in which to hold our briefing. We headed over to the church in plenty of time to have the flag line set up before the family and friends arrived. We placed ourselves on both sides of the front doors.

At the church we were given a nice warm room, food and drinks during the service. The sun was shining but the wind was also blowing and all the PGR members appreciated this warmth and food/drinks. The family thanked us many times over throughout the day and showed their appreciation.

After the church services we headed out to the cemetery where we placed our flag line. We stood quietly at attention until all family and friends had left to head back to the church for a meal. The family invited us all to join them for coffee and sandwiches. Being as several of the PGR members were friends of the family, we accepted the offer and the majority of us joined them.

Once again my PGR brothers and sisters amaze me. I want to thank each and every one of you for standing in honor of this great American Hero. I also want to thank the family for inviting us to honor Dick Marcus.
