ROCHESTER ‹ The funeral for Arthur H. "Art" Kee will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Evangelical Free Church in Rochester, with the Rev. Larry Orth officiating. Interment will be Monday in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Mr. Kee, 65, a longtime Rochester resident, died Tuesday (Sept. 26, 2006) at the Saint Marys Hospital emergency room, following a heart attack suffered at his residence. Born Oct. 13, 1940, in Kokomo, Ind., he moved to Austin and was reared by his guardians, Frederick and Jessie Kee. They are deceased. He graduated from Austin High School in 1959 and joined the Air Force, serving for seven years throughout the United States during the Vietnam era. He married Dianne M. Vogel on Jan. 13, 1962, in Austin. He worked more than 30 years as a business machines service technician, first in Austin then in Willmar, Minn., for 10 years and then in Rochester. He later worked for 10 years at Schmidt Printing, retiring in 2002. He was currently working part-time at Evenson¹s Hallmark Card Shop at Apache Mall and at Quality Maintenance Co., of Rochester. He was a member of Calvary Evangelical Free Church, its Men¹s Fraternity and ROCK Mini Congregation. In Willmar he was part of a Barbershop Quartet, the Community Theater and the American Legion Post. He also enjoyed fishing and league bowling. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Ruth (Mark) Grimm and Sue Kee, both of Rochester; two sons, Jon, of Byron, and Scott (Shelly) of Northfield, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Roma (John) Jacoby of Detroit Lakes, Minn.; two brothers, Carl Hager of Lafayette, Ind., and Sam (Becky) Darnell of Broken Arrow, Okla.; and two half sisters, Susan Griffin of Alma, Ark., and Pat (Dennis) Laskowski of New Baltimore, Mich. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes in Rochester, and an hour before the service Saturday at the church. Memorials are suggested to the church, the U.S.O. of the military, or a charity of the donor¹s choice.
Thank You Moderators,
Craig Ugland

When a mans heart is full of deceit it burns up, dies and a dark shadow falls over his soul. From the ashes of a once great man has risen a curse, a wrong that must be righted. We look to the skies for a vindicator, someone to strike fear into the black hearts of the same men who created him. The battle between good and evil has begun. Against an army of shadows comes the Dark Warrior, the purveyor of good, with a voice of silence and a mission of justice. - Steve "Sting" Borden |

My condolences to the family and friends of Art Kee. It is always difficult to loose a father and husband, but we can be assured he is in Heaven with his maker and awaiting the arrival of his loved ones. Lynn and I will be attending, but will cage it as we are going to visit the Minneapolis Veterans Home afterwards.

Tim and I will be going to Rochester to honor Art Kee. We can meet in Shakopee at the SA at Hwy 169 and 83 (Canterbury Rd). Meeting at 6AM should be early enough. It will take about 1 hour 45min or so I think.

Sounds like a plan... Easyscoot1 seems to have the same idea. I live up by the High School so that'll be an easy meet. I've got a red VTX with a pair of flags by the license plate and a PGR sticker on the windshield.
See ya in the AM, Mike

Tim and I will be leaving from New Hope so going straight to the staging area in Inver Grove Heights and then out Hwy 55/52 would be more direct for us. We will aim to be there about 6:15 so I will have time for a cup of coffee and a little warm-up before we get on the road for Rochester.
