Patriot Guard:
This is the final itinerary for the Patriot Guard Mission for Specialist Kenneth "Kenny" Cross who gave all on August 27th, 2006. It is a go; all contacts have been made.
SERVICES are Saturday, 9 Sept.; at approximately 1200 hrs at the Superior Senior High School, Superior, WI.
RIDE CAPTAINS: You Lead Contact Ride Captain is Paul "kool" Tousignant, who can be reached at his cell at 218-310-7453. Others Ride captains assigned are Pete Prudomme, 218-591-3308, Frank Kampa; RC's Duluth,(and Denny Pandora, 218-348-9850, VFW 6320 Commander). Additional RC's attending please contact me.
WEATHER:The forecast for Saturday is for partly cloudy, high of low 70's, however remember Lake Superior. Dress warm and comfy, Iron Horses if you can,. Bring flag poles and flags, flags on bikes agreat plus. If you are not on your bike cars are welcome, bring extra flags.
STAGING SITE AND TIMES: 0930HRS TO 1045 HOURS at the Mariner Mall (you can't miss us).69 N 28th ST in Superior, WI 54880.You can get a link by plugging in the address to Google, Mapquest, etc.
DEPARTURE: The daparture time from the staging area to the HIgh School is approximately 1045hrs. There will be an escort to the cemetery following the funeral,exact time unknown. All bikes from the staging area to the High School and from the High School to the cemetery shall ride in a staggerd formation for safety.
PLease remember that our mission is to respect and honor this fallen soldier and his family. Lets stand tall and proud as we honor this hero and his family for their great sacrifice.

DoD Identifies Army Casualties
The Department of Defense announced today the death of two soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died during combat operationsAug 27, in Baghdad, Iraq, when their M1126 Stryker Vehicle came in contact with enemy forces using an improvised explosive device and small arms fire. Both soldiers were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team), Fort Lewis, Wash.
Killed were:
Spc. Kenneth M. Cross, 21, of Superior, Wis.

I met with the family of this great young American on Tuesday, Aug 29. His father is a Vietnam Vet and his grandfather, who has passed, is a WWII veteran. They have requested the PGR at the furneral. I will keep you all posted at to the date and time.
