To the family and friends of PFC David J. Badie my thoughts and prayers are with you. It is a grievous tradgedy that our country has lost another fine, brave young man. I understand the anguish and pain that you feel with his passing. I am confident that he is with his Lord and Saviour. Know that the pain will ease but the loss to you and our Natiion will linger forever.

Our heart felt condolences to the Badie family and friends in the loss of David. Thank you for his service to this great country. Our prayers go out to God for you in this time of loss. David served to give us the freedom we now enjoy so much and for that he is one of the GREAT AMERICAN HEROS of the land. God bless your family and friends. Wish I could have shaken his hand and told him thank you myself.

There really aren't any words that I can say that will provide any comfort at a time like this. The only thing I can say is that my heart is broken also, thinking of the tremendous loss you are dealing with. On behalf of my entire family I would thank David for protecting our great country and our way of life. We owe him a debt that cannot be repaid. To his family and friends I would pray that you will find comfort in the difficult days ahead.

Thank you for your willingness to defend the United States of America and her freedoms and interests. Your untimely death brings much sorrow and sadness to the hearts and lives of your family, friends, military brothers and sisters, each and every member of the Patriot Guard Riders, and all who truly appreciate their freedom. We are proud of your service and dedication in that which you believed in and fought for. Your mission is complete. You are truly an American hero and the world in which we live is a safer place because of your commitment to freedom. We will now proudly stand for you with honor, dignity, and respect. We pray that you will now rest peacefully in the arms of God. May He provide peace, comfort, and understanding to each life you touched.

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of PFC Badie in this time of loss.  He made the ultamate sacrafice for a greatful nation and it will never be forgotten.  I thank PFC Badie for his selfless service to the greatest nation of all.  I only wish I had more than words to thank you for giving to us in such a way.  Without men and women like you, we would never be able to live the way we do.  May PFC Badie rest in peace.

To the family of PFC David Badie,

I'm deeply disappointed that I'll be unable to help in escorting our hero David to his final resting place. My flags will fly at half-staff this week in his honor. Please know that thousands of us, though unable to join you in person, will be with you in spirit. We thank David for his dedication, his courage, and his sacrifice. And we thank you, his family, for instilling those strengths and many more in him, and for supporting him in his noble duty. May God hold you in the palm of His hand during this difficult time and give you the strength to go forward, honoring the memory of your courageous son, as will we all.

We shall never forget the name and the sacrifice of PFC David J. Badie.

Riding for our modern-day heroes and two past heroes: Cpl. George Lander, 15th NY Engineers, U.S. Civil War; and Richard W. Lander, Sr., USAAF. Veteran of 186 air combat missions; winner AM, DFC, SS. A Top Gun before the term was coined, the AMT/Ertl Curtiss P-40F (avatar) displays the markings of his aircraft.

Pfc Badie, you are deeply appreciated. You stand a hero now at heaven's gates along with all our fallen warriors who have gone before you. Rest easy now David, and know that you will never be forgotten here.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. As a nation we mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To the family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are going through-my son, a Marine LCpl, was killed in Iraq. I pray wonderful memories of your dear warrior help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. Your hero will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve. Got your message... You and David are more than welcome and we are all in your debt. I will forever remember David and this mission.

The ride with you and David, the flyover, the blessing at the very end in the rain, and......

While riding home in the rain, thinking of David, and then finally coming out of it and seeing the glorious sunset in the mirrors..
