Mary and I were residents of that wonderful island for a few years as I retired from the Navy. We left behind many friends. We are concerned that this may be a relative of one of our church members from Guam Christian Church. Regardless, we feel the loss of another islander as deeply as those of you who are true islanders. The Chammarro warrior spirit overcomes such moments of grief, and we rest easy knowing that today you who knew this warrior best are clinging to your faith and your family in true Chammarro traditions.

I wish I could be there to stand with you as you send your warrior to live among the great clouds and blue skies that always seem to be the deepest blue ever there on Guam.
