SHORT NOTICE UPDATE
1st LT Jeffrey F. Deprimo Pittston Pa

This is a 2 part mission consisting of a long viewing on Tues 27MAY08 followed the next day Wed 28MAY08 by funeral and interment services. The viewing is extremly long due to military and community participation. Please watch this thread for final itinerary posting. Due to the Memorial Day holiday this mission is coming together quickly and in bits and pieces.

This American Hero asked to be sent into harms way. He left his family and the security of ur country to do what he felt was the right thing to do......................TO SERVE HIS COUNTRY! Every person who has spoken of him used the words " leader, complete soldier, an officer's officer, motivator" when asked to describe Jeffery Deprimo. In our own small way it is now our turn to do what is right.............TO STAND AND HONOR THIS HERO AND HIS FAMILY!
Senior Ride Captain Lori Nuss is charged with this mission.

Viewing: 27MAY08 1400-2000 hrs

Staging at the Armory 1300 hrs
Briefing 1315 hrs
Set flag lines 1330 hrs

Funeral: 28MAY08 1000 hrs

Pittaton, PA., 18640

Staging area and time not set at present but are tentative as follows:

Staging approximately 0900 hrs

Briefing and leave for church approximately 0915 hrs

Arrive at church and set flag lines 0930 hrs

Breakflag lines and prepare for escort at conclusion of services

Set flag lines for interment and military honors at Hughetown Cemetery, Hughestown PA

Mission completed at end of service at cemetery

DoD Identifies Army Casualty

          The Department of Defense today announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

          1st Lt. Jeffrey F. Deprimo, 35, of Pittston, Pa., died May 20 in Ghazni, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device.  He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 103rd Armor Regiment, Pennsylvania Army National Guard, Williamsport, Pa.

I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the family and friends of 1st Lt. Jeffery F. Deprimo in this very sad time in your lives. My prayers are that our GOD may bring peace and comfort to all of you during this tragic time. Please know that not just me , but a country full of people like me owe you a debt that can never be repaid. We know that your loved one is now serving in the Army of our LORD in heaven, and the LORD said if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and recieve you unto myself that where I am there you may be also. I thank you for the sacrifice you and your family have endured so our nation can remain the home of the free because of the brave. We are all brothers and sisters in arms and we don't forget one of our own, rest in peace my comrade, your mission is complete and now it's time for you to rest.
