WELCOME HOME MISSION FOR SSG Peter Bundesen, US Air Force, McGuire Air Base, Wrightstown, NJ 14 May 08
Our assistance has been requested to escort one of our New Jersey heroes back home to his awaiting family and friends at McGuire Air Base. This will be a two state mission and we will be working with PA to escort SSG Bundesen and his wife from Philadelphia International Airport back to McGuire Air Base. The flight is scheduled to arrive at the airport at 0830 on Wednesday morning.
SRC from Region 6 in Pennsylvania, Frank Tacey, will be coordinating the Pennslyvania portion and I will work with him to set up the NJ portion of the ride.
New Jersey riders will meet at a designated staging area to be set and then ride together to a pre-arranged meeting area to meet our Pennsylvania brothers and sisters as they escort SSG Bundesen and his wife. We will then enter New Jersey and proceed to McGuire Air Base. Further updates will be provided as they become available. Staging areas and ride routes will be posted as they become available during Monday.
Jack 'Pappy' Shinn
NJ State Captain

| Outstanding! Welcome Home SSg Bundesen, Well Done! Thankyou for your service and protecting my freedoms. |

Usually at a time like this I struggle for words to comfort a friend who has suffered a loss. The right words don’t often come, but if accompanied by the right sentiment they can be soothing. But I have learned over time that the best comfort at a time like this comes from those who watch over us. My beliefs allow me to be comforted by a certainty that I am watched over by those who have gone before me. |

*************************MISSION ACCOMPLISHED*********************************
As always, as usual, when the Pennsylvania Region 6 PGR and the New Jersey PGR get together to perform a mission together, good stuff happens. The look on SSgt. Bundesen's face when he came out of the terminal accompanied by his wife, Margaret and their children, with us standing there at attention made the day more than worth it. Thanks to Eric Sithens, the NJ Ride Captain, for getting us around New Jersey safe and sound. Can't say enough good about Frank Tacey and the men and women from Region 6 who just continue to do the best job ever of saluting these heroes. Looking forward to the next time we can work together again to provide honor and support to our heroes, the men and women of the best Armed Forces the world has ever seen. Job well done gang.
