| My sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Earl Taylor, WWII Navy veteran and retired police officer. May your pain and suffering be buffered by our Heavenly Father's love and grace. Earl, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for defending the very freedoms my family and I enjoy each and every day. Additionally I thank you for stepping up and continuing to ensure the home front is secure by your service to your community as a Law Enforcement Officer. Sir, you have answered the call for duty not once, but twice. Earl, you are a true American Hero and Patriot and your sacrifice and service shall never be forgotten. Once again our great Country has lost another of the Greatest Generation. May we always be mindful of the sacrifices that those before us bore to ensure our freedom. God's speed Earl. Rest in Peace.

| It was an honor to stand the flagline this afternoon to salute Earl as he was laid to rest and his family and friends gathered to celebrate his life. As it says in the brochure passed out at the services "Remember, it is only for a little while" before all are re-united again in the Kingdom of Heaven. I pray that Earl's family and friends all live long happy lives and that the hand of God passes over each of them to help them through the mourning period. Rest in peace Earl and thank you for your service to your country and your community. |

************Post Mission Summary************
The day was cold, mixed with snow, rain and hail prior to our Staging. We had 34 PGR members including six on their 1st Mission, and 1 visitor from Sequim, WA. After the pre-ride meeting we headed down to Evergreen Memorial Gardens. As we arrived, a burial ceremony was taking place near the entrance that we normally use to park the bikes, away from the chapel. After we got the flag lines setup I went in and talked to the funeral director to apologize if we had disturbed the burial party. He told me that they probably enjoyed it & that they knew we would be coming because that was the Earl Taylor burial. Kevin had gone over to the family at the burial after they were walking back toward the chapel and said we were sorry if we had disturbed them and they assured him they loved it and that Earl would have really liked also. We got many a thank-you from the family and friends as they arrived and I believe it was a very successful Mission. What a great team, Thank you guy’s & gals who showed up you did a fantastic job.
